Robbie Williams joined fans outside the Faena Hotel for an unannounced acoustic performance as he prepares for his first Argentine concerts in 20 years.
Robbie Williams turned a hotel greeting into an acoustic set in Buenos Aires on Tuesday evening. Around 30 to 40 fans were waiting outside the Faena Hotel in Puerto Madero when he came out to meet them. After chatting and posing for photos, he returned with his guitarist to perform four songs.
The appearance followed another unplanned hotel-side performance in Lima, Peru, less than a week earlier. With his September 24 concert canceled over venue safety issues, Williams instead joined fans outside his hotel for “Angels.”
Williams is preparing for sold-out concerts at Buenos Aires’ Movistar Arena on October 1, 2 and 4. The shows mark his return to Argentine concert stages after 20 years: his previous appearances were two October 2006 dates at River Plate Stadium.
An earlier attempt to return fell through in 2018, when Williams was booked to headline Personal Fest. Severe weather prompted organizers to cancel the festival’s opening day, preventing that appearance.
